the day in the distance

When will the half-empty cup be filled to the brim?
When will the dead joyfully walk out of the grave?
When will the foaming tempest be tempered by Him?
When will the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob save?

Why does it seem His righteous right hand is still?
Why do the wicked deniers prosper in so many ways?
Why does His sun shine on those who transgress His will?
Why do thousands of years disappear into the haze?

How are we going to live in a world like this?
How now shall His holy redemptive plan proceed?
How can he spare us, when crapulence is bliss?
How can rationality rise if moralities recede?

Who can bring justice and truth, but Yahweh alone?
Who will withstand the encroaching ungodly insistence?
Who will remain faithful to the God claimed unknown?
Who will be alive and unbroken, on the day in the distance?
